Overview

A Spacial Dynamics® workshop with Jaimen McMillan. Exploring the Sense of Self Movement, a sense organ of the future

What if the future needs not a solution, but a revolution? A Change of Mind, by Changing our Space, Creating Space for the New. We will explore a largely over-looked sense: the Sense of Self Movement, a sense organ for the future, creating invitational spatial bridges so that the “not-yet-here”, the unborn, can take place.

Jaimen McMillan (*1950) has dedicated his life to studying the effects and possibilities of human movement. He has been working in the fields of movement education, movement therapy, coaching, and world peace for over 50 years. By experimenting with the body/ mind/space continuum he observed in mastery of movement, Jaimen developed a system of movement education, movement therapy, and coaching that incorporated the body and the contiguous space as a functional whole. This growing body of work gelled in 1985 into the discipline he called Spacial Dynamics®. Spacial Dynamics®, created by Jaimen McMillan and the Spacial Dynamics Institute, is applied worldwide in therapy, pedagogy, performance augmentation, business leadership, and world peace. The moving human being is envisioned here as a fluid continuum of body, space, and awareness. Please visit www.spacialdynamics.com for more information on the history and applications of Spacial Dynamics, as well as world-wide trainings and resources. Now in his seventies, Jaimen’s passion to use movement to support positive change has only intensified. He travels extensively, lecturing and giving workshops and trainings. Jaimen is a co-author of the bookThe Fourfold Path to Healing (with Dr. Tom Cowan and Sally Fallon), author of the bookStill Moving, and is a regular contributor to books and journals about education and health.
