Communication is always one of the greater concerns in emergency management, often impeding equitable distribution of resources across underserved working-class communities. I'm in the process of completing my dissertation, and I need your help. I want to improve the development of emergency management software by teaching emergency professionals how to talk better answer questions from software developers so that they can understand the many workflows that need to be balanced during the many phases as emergency manangement. I also want to teach software developers how to ask the right questions to emergency managers. I believe that training both teams together can result in greater communication, and I'm testing an online training course to validate my theory.
If you are an emergency management professional in the office or in the field (esp if you work in the field!), or a consultant/professional working in IT project management, please consider helping me.
