Applicable NV Pre-K Standards and ECERS items will be discussed. We will go over why it’s important to build vocabulary in ECE settings through information on child development and the word gap study. We will also go over strategies for using words and practice them throughout.

Training Objectives:

1 . By the end of this session, learners will describe the importance of building preschoolers’ vocabularies.

2 .By the end of this session, learners will list three ways to incorporate words into their practice.

3 .By the end of this session, learners will demonstrate a strategy to use in their practice.

Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training.
