Ready to roll up your sleeves and build a pond with your own hands? Join us for our Build-A-Pond Workshop, where you will be the builder! This isn’t just a demonstration—you’ll be working alongside our expert Just Add Water crew to create a real pond from start to finish.


Our team will guide you step by step, teaching you the techniques and skills needed to construct a beautiful, natural-looking pond. You’ll learn everything from excavation and liner installation to rock placement and filtration—giving you the confidence to build your own backyard oasis.


Once the pond is complete, you’ll have the opportunity to purchase the materials needed for your own DIY pond or chat with us about having our team design and install one for you.

Frequently asked questions

What should I wear?

Wear something that you will be comfortable doing manual labor in. You will also need closed-toe shoes.

Will lunch be provided?

Yes, lunch and drinks will be provided. We will also have shaded area to stay cool if it is a warmer day.

Will this still happen if it rains?

If the rain is minimal, we will still plan to host the build on the specified date. However, if there is inclement weather, we may have to postpone to the following weekend. If that is the case, we will message those who sign-up letting them know.

Will I be building the pond?

Yes, the event attendees will be building the pond with guidance and help from our expert construction team.

If I am ready to start my won project after the event, what is my next step?

We will have products for sale at the event setting you up with everything you'll need to construct your own pond at home. If you are wanting the Just Add Water crew to build you something, we will have experts on-site to help you plan your water feature as well!

What time will we finish?

We will work until the pond is finalized. We expect to finish between 2pm-4pm.

Will there be a bathroom?

Yes, we are building this pond at our shop location, so we will have the building open and you will be able to use our bathrooms inside.

Where do I park?

There will be parking around our building, so no need to worry about parking too far away.

What do I need to bring?

Besides clothes to work in and closed-toe shoes, you don't need anything. We will provided all the tools needed to construct the pond. However, if you have a favorite shovel you enjoy using, feel free to bring that along! :)
