Where does Budding Naturalists take place?

At Riverbend's preserve located at 1950 Spring Mill Rd, Gladwyne, PA 19035. Please park in our parking lot and walk to the Farmhouse (signs will be indicate the Farmhouse location). We will begin most sessions in our Farmhouse. The path to the Farmhouse is paved so it is stroller accessible.

What amenities are available?

In the Farmhouse and in our Snider Barn there are restrooms and a kitchen with a sink and microwave. Strollers can be parked along the wall outside. (weather permitting). Please reach out to Felicia Acconciamessa at facconciamessa@riverbendeec.org if you have any accommodation requirements.

Question 3

What should we wear?

Accepted Answer

Please wear clothing appropriate for art and being outside during the program. Seasonally-appropriate clothes that can get messy are best. We recommend wearing sturdy, closed-toed shoes that are good for walking and exploring.

Question 4

Will my child get messy or dirty?

Accepted Answer

Outdoor exploration, sensory activities and art projects will be some of our regular activities. Please consider bringing a paint shirt or art smock for your child to wear.

Question 5

Can we spend more time at Riverbend before or after the program?

Accepted Answer

YES! The programs are designed to be approximately 1 hour long. You are welcome to pack a lunch or snack and stay on the preserve for additional time before or after the program. Picnic tables are located around the property. Please remember to leave no trace and pack out what you pack in.
