Where does Budding Naturalists take place?

At Riverbend's preserve located at 1950 Spring Mill Rd, Gladwyne, PA 19035. Please park in our parking lot and walk up the hill towards the red barn. We will begin most sessions in our Snider Barn. The path to the barn is paved so it is stroller accessible.

Question 2

What amenities are available?

Accepted Answer

In the barn there are two restrooms and a kitchen with a sink and microwave. A changing table is located near the restrooms. Strollers should be parked along the wall outside the barn doors (weather permitting).

Question 3

What should we wear?

Accepted Answer

Please wear clothing appropriate for being outside during the program. Warm clothes that can get dirty are recommended for this time of year. We recommend wearing sturdy, closed-toed shoes that are good for walking and exploring.

Question 4

Will my child get messy or dirty?

Accepted Answer

Craft projects will be one of our regular activities. Please consider bringing a paint shirt or art smock for your child to wear while they are crafting.

Question 5

Can we spend more time at Riverbend before or after the program?

Accepted Answer

YES! The programs are designed to be approximately 1 hour long. You are welcome to pack a lunch or snack and stay on the preserve for additional time before or after the program. Picnic tables are located around the property. Please remember to leave no trace and pack out what you pack in.
