Authentic Matcha: This month's matcha is one of the top-quality powder from Kyoto, Japan. The "Kyo no Hana" (Translation: Flower of Capital) is made by a well-known company Ujitawara Tea Production.

Dr. Kyohei Mikawa

Our instructor Dr. Kyohei was born in Japan. He moved to Chicago at the age of 23 to attain Masters and PhD degrees in Buddhist philosophy at the University of Chicago (PhD completed in 2023). He moved to Los Angeles with his family in 2024 when appointed as Minister of Rissho Kosei-kai Buddhist Center of Los Angeles. He speaks about Buddhism especially the text called "The Lotus Sutra" in his Buddhist YouTube, IG, and Tiktok whose fan love his practical presentation of profound Buddhist thoughts.
