After years of integrating the design thinking process into their daily work, TYTHEdesign has tailored a class focused on how design thinking theories translate across fields and sectors into real world, real work experiences.
Design thinking is a user-centered methodology that helps you to empathize with your clients or community, design for their needs, and experiment with solutions. In this two-hour class, TYTHE will share the tenets of design thinking and how they translate into your day-to-day work and interactions with your team. Using case studies, activities, and interactive modeling, this class will demystify design thinking and introduce adaptable strategies to drive innovation within your team, enhance services, and build connections with your community.

Kristina Drury (@TYTHEdesign) founder of TYTHEdesign, is a social entrepreneur, designer and educator. TYTHE, a social impact firm, uses the lens of design and strategy to support organizations build their capacity in the social good community. Under her leadership TYTHE has increased the community impact of over 75 local and global social good organizations including the NYC Dept. of Education, Citi Community Development, Public Policy Lab and California State Library System. Recently, Kristina has been named a UNDP Innovation Expert. Prior to starting TYTHE, Kristina co-led the nonprofit Project H and worked in corporate social responsibility consulting. As an educator she has taught classes, workshops and training to build the capacity of over 600 change-makers, leaders, and entrepreneurs. Her teaching and speaking experience includes engagements at the Clinton Global Initiative University, Cooper-Hewitt Museum and New Museum’s Ideas City Festival.
