Dr David Pendleton takes us on a journey of eight centuries, to locations as varied as Verona, Kensington and Edinburgh, in an attempt to place the Salt Statue in its architectural and historical context. Is this the journey's end? Or should Salt return in triumph to the city centre?

All are welcome (including non-members) for what promises to be an enlightening talk about a piece of iconic Bradford architecture. Entry is free, and refreshments will be provided.

As this is the November all-member meeting of the Bradford Civic Society, David's talk will follow a brief update on Civic Society matters from the Chair (including members' questions/AOB).

This meeting will take place at Bradford's historic Mechanics' Institute on Kirkgate. Limited on-street parking is available on Kirkgate and is free after 6pm, although the Institute is perfectly situated for both city centre railway stations and all major Bradford bus routes.

We encourage you to book a free place via EventBrite for this event so we are able to properly cater for everyone, although there is no need to print your ticket. Simply show up on the evening.
