Is your public school or public chartered school interested in improving literacy outcomes? Join us for an information session about the Bridging the Gap in the 603: Pathways to Literacy Proficiency initiative and how to apply to be part of it! This session will provide an overview of the initiative, which is designed to boost reading proficiency by equipping schools with evidence-based literacy training, coaching, and family engagement tools. Learn how your school can benefit from:

  • LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling) Training: Gain in-depth knowledge of the science of reading, including phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing instruction.
  • Ongoing Coaching and Support: Receive tailored coaching at both the leadership and classroom levels to ensure the effective and sustainable implementation of structured literacy practices.
  • Family Engagement Strategies: Discover resources to help families better understand and support their child’s literacy development at home.

This session is ideal for school teams considering applying to participate in the initiative. Attendees will gain a clear understanding of the program goals and the application process. If you have questions about this training, please contact Amy Aiello, amy.e.aiello@doe.nh.gov for assistance.
