About this event

Join us for a special gathering between our regular seasonal sessions for a drop-in event of community singing & songs, open to all.

The Covered Bridge Choir is a part of the mycelial network of community choirs across the country and around the world, working to heal a broken world through the remembering of our beautiful interconectedness.

This gathering will feature new songs learned from Amanda's time at this summer's community song events along the West Coast, including Song Village, Sisters in Harmony & Cascadia Songrise.

PLEAES BRING...

+a chair or blanket to sit on

+water bottle or tea

+items that are meaningful to you for our collective altar

+your open heart

+friends & loved ones

OFFERING SINGING AS A...

+ practice of mindfulness

+ medicine for grieving hearts

+ tool to calm and regulate the nervous system

+ way to build resiliency, in ourselves and community

+ cultivation of hope and joy

AS THE ECOLOGICAL, POLITICAL & SOCIAL SYSTEMS OF OUR WORLD breakdown, we have an incredible opportunity to come together and dream into being the new, sustainable, spiritually fulfilling and just world our hearts know is possible.

Now is the time, more than ever before, to fortify our spirits, nurture community connection, tend to our hearts, and illuminate the way forward in hope, compassion and love. This is a time and place to connect with your inner space, filling your cup so that you may feel rooted and fortified as you walk your path in the world.

WHAT ~

Each gathering includes a ritual opening and closing of the space, vocal warm ups, optional brief group check in, and simple, inspiring songs taught by ear. We sing to celebrate aliveness, build our inner resilience and to strengthen our connection to each other and the greater family of life on planet earth.

WHO ~

All ages, races, genders, identities and abilities are welcome here. This is an intentionally anti-racist, LGBTQ+ inclusive space, and I welcome feedback to strengthen and assure the experience of this as a safe space for everyone.

Babies and children ARE welcome & ENCOURAGED, and, I also ask that you be prepared to step away with them temporarily if they are strongly distracting from the focused energy of the group.

WHEN ~

Sunday August 17th 4 - 5:30pm

WHERE ~

Felton Covered Bridge Park, ON the bridge itself! This is a magical place of in-between, where the sunlight and air flow freely, our bodies are covered from the rain, and our voices are held in beautiful acoustic resonances among the old growth redwood rafters.

HOW ~

Suggested donation sliding scale $30-$20, no one turned away.

This reciprocity helps honor the labor that goes into creating and holding this sacred container of community and song. I'm a full time working musician and single mama and humbly grateful for your contributions. But please do not let finances stop you from attending! All are welcome regardless of ability to pay.
