Brenau University Learning & Leisure Institute Two-Week BULLI Mini Course

Brenau University Learning & Leisure Institute presents a special two-week BULLI Mini Course: The Birth Narratives of Jesus from Matthew and Luke led by BULLI Instructor Bob Maddox.

We will meet Tuesday, December 2nd and Tuesday, December 9th from 10:00-11:30 A.M.

For two thousand years the birth narratives of Jesus from the gospels of Matthew and Luke have generated soaring music, great art, beautiful poetry, and millions of Christmas pageants in great cathedrals and brush arbors. The two gospels, written at different times by anonymous authors, conflate in popular culture to give us our Christmas stories.

Dr. Bob Maddox, a minister, author and former White House speechwriter, will offer two 90-minute sessions in which the group will explore these classic, rich, profound and evocative narratives. Using a variety of sources, Dr. Maddox will open the texts to celebrate their depth, diversity and charm.

Seating is limited. Registration is required. Membership in BULLI is not necessary. Join us this December and experience a sample BULLI course.
