Breastfeeding Basics (Virtual Class)

Our Breastfeeding and Lactation class is comprehensive overview of the physiological changes that occur during lactation. We’ll explore topics in-depth such as: latching, the golden hour, the changes after baby is born, changes while pregnant, transitioning from colostrum to milk (breast milk), milk production, how much milk does the baby need (based on age), and hand expression.

While natural, breastfeeding can actually be difficult in the first few weeks, especially while recovering from birth. This class will teach you everything you need to know to ensure you and baby get off to a great start, including:

• How milk supply works
• The mechanics of breastfeeding/chestfeeding
• Latch and positioning
• How to recognize good feeding and if baby is getting enough milk
