Breakthrough creates empowering educational experiences for traditionally underrepresented students on their path to attend college and is part of the largest pre-professional teacher training program in the country. For 28 years, Breakthrough has served Sacramento youth, elevating their academic attainment, building their leadership and self-advocacy skills, and training a diverse population of future educators.

Breakthrough Sacramento is a year-round, tuition-free academic program for under-resourced youth who aspire to be first in their family to attend college.  It is also a pre-professional training program for high school and college students who wish to pursue careers as educators.
