The Institute for Collaborative Education, led by Music Department Director Albert Marques, proudly presents BREAKING THE ICE: a dynamic series of concerts featuring young musicians at some of New York City’s most iconic jazz clubs and rock venues.

 

About:

I.C.E. Music Dept. presents BREAKING THE ICE, a series of concerts performed by ICE students in the most famous New York City jazz clubs and rock venues. ICE (Institute for Collaborative Education) is a public school in the East Village and the director of the Music Department is Albert Marques. The students will perform arrangements of some of the most famous jazz standards and they will also perform original songs with eclectic influences from reggae to funk, from swing to hip-hop.
