About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

In this webinar, participants will learn how to build, refine, and tailor their resumes for success in the "entertainment industry." We'll review the difference between tracking and distribution resumes, formatting best practices, how to highlight transferable skills and credits, and the power of name-dropping (not joking-it's more nuanced than you'd think)!

We'll also cover networking and cultural norms in branded commercials, narrative feature films & narrative television series.

Whether you're just getting started or looking to level up, this workshop is designed to help you land that first or next job with confidence.

Presenters:

Kelly Griffin
Kelly is a veteran Production Supervisor with over 20 years of experience in film, television, and commercials. She's worked on major campaigns for brands that aired during the Oscars, Super Bowl, and Olympics, and has collaborated with industry legends like Janusz Kamiński, Errol Morris, and Jean-Pierre Jeunet. From NBC Sports to Nickelodeon to Rolling Stone photo shoots, her career spans coasts and formats, with a focus now on top-tier commercial production in Arizona.

Jared Scott Mercier
Jared has been an Assistant Director for 15 years and has been on over 150 exclusively narrative projects ranging in budgets from $300 million to no-pay credit and copy short films. He's worked on low budget indies you've never heard of as well as academy award-winning films like A Star Is Born and Gone Girl. Other credits include West World, Glee, The Morning Show, American Horror Story, Star Trek Beyond and, most recently, Amazon Prime's Unstoppable.
