Break Up With What Broke You

By Local Church Assembly for The Lord Jesus Christ

Overview

Come join us as we get practical help to shed shame, anxiety, and regret, and instead embrace peace, confidence, and healthy growth!

When compiling a list of "My Favorite Things", few people would list a "break up" in their top ten. More often, the words "break up" come with remembered feelings of shame, embarrassment, poor choices, and bad or sad endings. While that may at times be true, Christian Bevere wants to call people to a different perspective.

Any home builder, gardener, or creative of any kind will recognize that before something new and beautiful can be constructed, the old, the broken down, and the unnecessary must be cleared away. The process to clear out the old in order to welcome the new can be a painful one, but it is good, needful, and can produce wonderful results when done wisely and well.

How does one go about breaking free from anxiety, comparison, or shame? Christian Bevere points people to both the big-picture perspective of freedom that God desires for His children, as well as giving practical, hands-on ideas on how to shed both unhealthy baggage and the lies that seek to leave us anchored to past failure. Drawing from the Bible, Break Up With What Broke You clearly shows that what Satan would seek to use for evil, God uses for good and to accomplish His purposes.

This encouraging book is a wonderful way to begin the New Year. Come join us on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at 6:30 pm, when we gather at Panera Bread, The Greene. We'd love to see you there!
