Hey all! Welcome to our newest tabletop game jam! Wait a second . . . What even is a game jam?!
Game jams are generally defined as events where individuals and/or groups rapidly prototype and create games under shared themes or constraints.
Cool, now that we have a definition, let’s talk about the Break My Game spin! We’re gonna do our game jam over a two week period:
- First Week = designing the game
- Second Week = playtesting the game with all sorts of designing still mixed in
But what about the prompt we’ll all be using? Participants will be asked to utilize three unique mechanics, two of them will be announced October 17th (right when the event starts!) The third mechanic will be voted on by YOU, from now until October 15th on the Break My Game discord, linked below. You WILL need to be a part of our Discord server in order to join!
For those participating, you will receive a specialty one-of-a-kind role on our BMG Discord name, just for taking part! Those who snag a ticket for the event will be rewarded the "Jammer - 2025" role!
