Brave Workshop with Heather Ding
Overview
A space for healing, resilience, and community.
This workshop is designed for individuals who have experienced sexual assault or abuse—and for those who wish to support loved ones in their healing journey. No matter where you are in your process, you are welcome here.
Led by Heather, a survivor and dedicated advocate, this workshop offers a safe and supportive environment to explore your strength, process your pain, and connect with others who understand. Heather has carefully crafted this space with healing at its core—drawing from her own lived experience of trauma to help others move forward.
Why this work matters:
According to the National Sexual Violence Resource Center:
- 1 in 5 women in the U.S. have experienced completed or attempted rape.
- 1 in 3 female survivors experienced it for the first time between the ages of 11 and 17.
- Nearly 1 in 4 men in the U.S. have experienced some form of contact sexual violence.
- 1 in 4 male survivors first experienced it between ages 11 and 17.
These numbers tell a painful truth—but they also call for action. We must speak openly, without shame or judgment. You are not alone. You are not to blame. And you are not broken.
Heather believes deeply in the power of healing in community—with safety, openness, and compassion at the center. Join us for this two-hour workshop to feel seen, supported, and empowered.

Client testimonial
"Heather's 2-hour workshop gave me some peace about my cousin Jin, who sexually abused me when I was between 12 to 16 years old. Before the workshop, I felt so much anger toward Jin. I still haven’t forgiven my cousins, but I am calmer about it. And I hope this lasts!
A few days after Heather’s workshop, I was in the car with my husband Erik driving. I had closed my eyes, and I saw Jin laughing. I said, “Erik, it’s weird. I feel a sense of peace. For the first time, I can say something positive about Jin. He taught me a few characters in Chinese. If there’s anything good that came from him, it’s that I was able to write him a few sentences in a letter when he was in Japan. I’m grateful that he taught me how to write a little Chinese, which allowed me to make a connection to my ancestral heritage.
The pain will always be there, but I realize that I have to live a better life. If I dwell in that anger, I am destroyed. My cousins live their lives, unaware of the damage that is done. But if I am happy, they didn’t crush me. I want to live the best life that I can live, not perfect, but the best that I can do."
