About this event
Before American and Southwest Airlines, there was only one hometown Dallas airline and that was Braniff International. Based here! Best Here! First Here!
Mr. David Preziosi, Braniff Airways Foundation Board Member and Executive Director of Texas Historical Foundation will present the program, which will include the story of one of the most groundbreaking and revolutionary airlines in history, Braniff’s incredible focus on design and marketing, and a mini fashion show featuring Braniff’s epochal flight attendant uniform designs from Haute Couturier’s Emilio Pucci and Halston. Four Braniff flight attendants will model these magnificent icons of airline fashion. The evening will include a breakthrough interview with Betty Green Atchinson who paved the way with her landmark court case allowing flight attendants to continue flying after marriage. Mr. Collin Ice, Braniff International COO will discuss Braniff today and what to expect from America's Most Colorful Carrier in the future.
Please join us along with the Dallas Historical Society for an educational and fun evening all part of Braniff Airways Foundation series of community outreach evenings.
