Meet on Goat Island at Parking Lot 2 - Arch inside Niagara Falls State Park. Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the start of the program. Programs are free.

Please dress for the weather and wear appropriate footwear

Parking is limited and parking fees may apply. Please note, the parking lots inside Niagara Falls State Park fill up quickly on weekends (Friday through Sunday) and holidays, which often results in heavy traffic entering the park from the Niagara Scenic Parkway.

Additional parking lots can be found on Rainbow Blvd. and near the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino in the city of Niagara Falls.

Frequently asked questions

What does this program entail?

Our programs are meant to provide patrons with a meaningful and enjoyable experience visiting the major portions of Goat Island. Topics covered during these programs can include (but not limited to) facts, history, conservation, environmental science, geology, & hydropower.

What are the parking fees?

Parking fees are $10 per car Monday - Thursday and $15 per car Friday - Sunday. All lots in the park are cashless. These lots fill up quickly during the weekend and may requiring parking off-site in the city.

Can seniors park for free?

If you are a New York State resident 62 or older, on Mon - Fri (except holidays), you can obtain free vehicle access to most state parks. Your NYS Driver's License/Non-Driver ID Card serves as your pass. For locations with pay stations, please use the call/intercom button to speak to an attendant.

How do I register my child for this program?

Our programs are for all ages! If your child is under the age of 5, you do not need to register them for the program. Any other participants need to be registered. Parents/guardians must always accompany children.

Is the program wheelchair or stroller accessible?

Yes! It is our mission to provide safe and enjoyable recreational and interpretive opportunities for all visitors in recognition of individual needs and interests. Universal Access in New York State Parks means providing recreation opportunities for everyone regardless of differences in ability.

Does this program include the Maid of the Mist and Cave of the Winds?

No, these programs do not include either attraction. However, we will provide information about both attractions during the program. Admission fees apply for both the Maid of the Mist and Cave of the Winds.
