Botanical Cyanotypes for Beginners

Join gardener and artist Madge Evers at Grow Food Northampton Organic Community Garden for a fun and creative workshop on Botanical Cyanotypes!

Magical and simple cyanotypes are a camera-less technique that results in graphic blue and white prints. Participants will be introduced to an alternative photographic process developed in 1842 and will use plants to create a photographic image, called a photogram.

Each student will have the opportunity to make up to two or three 6 x 9-inch prints to take home. All materials, including pressed plant material, will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own pressed plants to use in their compositions.

All ticket sales will be donated to the Northeast Farmers of Color Land Trust.

Tickets are on a sliding scale, from $5-35. If the fee is a barrier for you, please select the "free" option. If there are no more free tickets left, email molly@growfoodnorthampton.org.
