I'm someone that used to hate public speaking, and that makes me qualified to tell you how to start loving it.

I would be sitting in the crowd, waiting for my turn to go up and speak, and would be absolutely dreading it.

Waves of panic setting in, hands clammy, heart pounding, I was dying inside while everyone was enjoying the speaker before me.

My name gets called and walking up on stage seems to take 2 hours. There I am, facing everyone, everyone facing me, the flight or fight response takes full control and I shut down.

I struggle through a few shaky, barely audible sentences until my voice completely restricts. Someone has to come up and save me. Utter humiliation.
