About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

🧠 Event Overview:

Bootstrapped with Copilot is a live, hands-on workshop for aspiring developers who want to learn how to pair program with AI and build full stack web apps. In this first part of the series, we'll guide you through setting up your dev environment, launching your first Bootstrap 5 project, and collaborating with GitHub Copilot inside VSCode. In addition, participants will receive exclusive access to our online developer community, where they can stay connected with mentors and peers, continue learning, and get ongoing support.

We’ll keep it simple, practical, and beginner-friendly — no overwhelming theory. Just real-time coding, clear steps, and a shared goal: build something awesome with AI by your side.

🔧 What to Expect:

  • Set up your dev environment.
  • Launch a dev server and run a Bootstrap 5 project.
  • Learn how to collaborate with GitHub Copilot in real-time.
  • Work on a simple frontend project together (or clone one as a group).
  • Ask questions, get live help, and leave with working code.
  • Receive exclusive access to our online dev community.

What You’ll Walk Away With:

  • A fully configured dev environment.
  • A functional starter web project built with Bootstrap 5 and AI-assisted code.
  • Real experience using GitHub Copilot for pair programming in VSCode.
  • A clear understanding of how to set up and structure a front-end project.
  • Starter code files, and any workshop notes you wish to take.
  • Confidence to build and explore further - and a head start on Part 2 of the series!
  • Exclusive access to our online dev community.

About the Session Length:

This workshop is designed to be a focused, beginner-friendly 2-hour session that gets you off the ground and into the code - fast. We’ll cover everything you need to set up your dev environment, understand the tools, and start building with confidence.

While we won’t cover everything in just two hours, you’ll leave with a solid foundation, working code, and the momentum to keep building your dream projects.

And don’t worry - if need be, I’ll stay on a bit longer to make sure all key topics are covered and no one’s left behind.

This workshop is just the beginning — Part 1 of a 3-part series designed to take you from frontend foundations to full stack deployment. Future sessions will dive into backend development and getting your project production-ready. Each event in the series will be hosted live on Zoom and require registration.

But for now, let’s get you bootstrapped and coding smarter with AI.

🔔 Note: This is a standalone, ticketed event. Each part of the series will require separate registration and payment.
