Join us for 3 Stitches: Bookbinding Basics, a hands-on workshop exploring the art of bookbinding! This beginner-friendly class will teach you three essential binding techniques:

  • Japanese Stab Binding: Learn this elegant and decorative method, perfect for creating unique journals and photo albums.
  • Coptic Stitch Binding: Master this ancient stitch that allows your books to lay flat, ideal for sketchbooks and notebooks.
  • Saddle Stitch Binding: Discover this quick and functional technique used for zines, booklets, and pamphlets.

Led by Ren Cannon, a printmaker, potter, and draw-er, you’ll walk away with a deeper appreciation for the craft and your own handmade books! All materials will be provided, and no prior experience is necessary.
