Overview

Learn the art of bookbinding from scratch and create your own personalized notebooks in this hands-on workshop!

Have fun exploring the basics of bookmaking! In this introductory class we will stitch a simple hardcover book with fabric covers and multiple signatures. We will go over the basics of bookbinding including terminology and guidelines for designing your own books. Students will learn a couple of different stitches that they can use to assemble their books.


All tools and materials will be provided and no experience is necessary.


Additional Information

  • Feel free to bring in fabric and/or paper you may want to use in your books, we will incorporate these where appropriate. Any fabric for your covers should be a woven fabric (eg. quilting cotton) at least 15" wide & 11" high.
