About this event

Bookmarks and Spatial Justice Studio invite you to participate in an interactive and engaging workshop, Mapping Prejudice in Forsyth County, to learn about the consequences of restrictive covenants on housing patterns in our community. Participants will need access to their cellphone or personal computer to apply analytical and digital tools from the workshop to identify present-day patterns of discriminatory housing practices.

Thanks to generous support from the Winston-Salem Foundation, the first 50 registrants for this event will receive a free boxed lunch.

This is a free event, with registration required to receive a boxed lunch. Attendees can choose from a vegetarian option, turkey, ham, or select the no lunch option.

This community event is part of the Bookmarks Book With Purpose program, which aims to unite the community in dialogue around one central theme. This year's book selection is The Sum of Us by Heather McGhee. Attendees can receive a free copy of the book at the event, or from the Bookmarks Bookstore at any time.
