Join us for a fun summer afternoon of swapping books and sipping on delicious ciders at Locust Cider taproom in Woodinville!

It’s the perfect excuse to hang out with friends, enjoy the summer weather, meet fellow book lovers, and get some new books for your TBR.

Bring 1-3 gently pre-loved books to swap with fellow book lovers in exchange for discounts on cider and some new books to fill your shelves!

Lost The Plot is Seattle's newest mobile bookstore, focusing on adult fiction by and about underrepresented voices. They'll be there with a carefully curated selection of new & used books, blind dates with a book, and bookish merch. Receive a discount on your book purchase by showing a receipt from Locust Cider and bringing a book to the book swap.

Frequently asked questions

What types of books should I bring?

You can bring any books you want, but we recommend adult fiction -- especially books that you've already read and love! Please ensure all books are of good quality (minimal wear & tear). All genres are accepted.

What happens to books that aren't taken?

Any books that aren't taken will be donated to little libraries around the greater Seattle area by Ash (the owner of Lost The Plot). None of the books used for the book swap will be resold.

Can I sell used books to Lost The Plot?

If you have books you think fit within Lost The Plot's mix (adult fiction by women/BIPOC/LGBTQIA+/disabled authors), you can bring them for the opportunity to exchange for $2 in credit per accepted book. Ensure all books are gently used and in good condition for a higher chance of acceptance.

Do I have to buy anything to attend?

No, this is a free event! That said, Locust Cider is being gracious enough to host us, and purchasing from them is much appreciated. Lost The Plot will have a curated selection of products available for purchase as well, but shopping is not required to attend!
