Book signing and Happy Hour with Harriet Helfand
Overview
Longtime lawyer and judge Harriet Helfand weaves intrigue, humor, and a touch of romance with legal themes in her Arcadia Chronicles series-- a combination we find endlessly interesting and fun. Come on by the Ivy between 5-7pm on Friday, January 9th to meet the author, have your book signed, and enjoy a drink with friends as we celebrate these books.
All three of Harriet Helfand's books-- Fee Simple Conditional, Clear and Convincing Evidence, and The Right of Redemption-- are set in Maryland and contain local flavor, and themes including land ownership and inheritance, mental health law and psychiatric commitment, and the foreclosure crisis, with thoughtful consideration of how these issues impact characters' lives.
