Bound & Bonded: A Play on Connection

Ready to explore a deeper connection—within yourself and with others? Join us for “Bound & Bonded”, a playful and profound introduction to the art of Shibari, where the ties that bind are all about trust, consent, and creative expression.

This class isn’t just about rope—it’s about the threads of bonding, communication, and embodied presence. Whether you’re attending solo or with a partner, you’ll learn foundational techniques in a welcoming space that encourages both comfort and curiosity.

What to Expect:

• An introduction to Shibari (Japanese rope bondage) with a focus on connection and communication

• Interactive, hands-on learning in a supportive, consent-centered environment

• Playful partner exercises (solo-friendly too!) that explore the emotional and physical dynamics of being bound and bonded

• Safe space guidelines to ensure full expression and mutual respect

Dress Code:

Wear what makes you feel comfortable and confident—anything from yoga clothes to full self-expression. All genders, all bodies, and all vibes are celebrated here.

All-Inclusive, Zero Judgment:

This space is radically inclusive. We welcome all identities, orientations, relationship styles, body types, and experience levels. Discrimination of any kind—based on race, gender, sexuality, ability, or any other category—has no place here.

Who is this for:

• Rope-curious singles and couples

• Explorers of intimacy, trust, and touch

• Anyone looking to learn, play, and connect in a respectful space

Come as you are. Leave a little more tied in—to yourself and the people around you.

Our passion for Shibari:

The intention of this event is to teach the art of Shibari and create connection between both or more participants.

Participants will also learn how to navigate their journey so it is both enjoyable; for not just you, but your partner as well. Ultimately, making the parts of the whole greater than the sum.

By the end of this workshop you will have a deeper understanding on connecting Shibari to all it’s aspects: the mental, the physical , as well as, the spiritual.

What you will get out of it:

Connection, communication, and exploration to create meaningful experiences with your partner(s), while deepening your understanding of both technique and intimacy.

AGENDA

There will be an opening circle for us to introduce ourselves and get to know you, and of course we'll discuss and review consent and how to negotiate your scenes.

We'll do warm up exercises to acclimate your body and to learn how you are feeling and how far you should push your body or your partner.

We'll teach a Single Column Tie, and do some connective authentic relating activities to enhance rope play experience.

At the end we'll circle up to share key take-aways, feedback, insights, and integration.
