Challenge statement: Increase Awareness to Decrease Diagnosis Time for patients with Rare and Genetic Diseases

Question: Since an early diagnosis and treatment lead to a better prognosis and life expectancy for Rare and Genetic Disease Patients. In a highly digitalized world, how can we use technology to raise Rare and Genetic Disease awareness amongst the general public and physicians to bring patients and their families earlier into the clinic and reduce the time to a confirmed diagnosis?

The vision: To have several prototypes that can offer a wide range of technology solutions that can increase the awareness of rare diseases to improve and decrease diagnosis pathway for patients in the MENA region.

FRIDAY - DAY 1

Friday morning - You will meet for breakfast at The Box DMCC location. We will have an induction on how the 2 days will run. You will pitch your idea, join a team and start working.

Friday afternoon - The mentors will make their rounds and get to see your progress and offer their feedback. You will then have a workshop from one of our business modeling experts!

Friday evening - You will be winding down with dinner with the team and a workshop from one of our experts on marketing followed by mentor feedback sessions.

SATURDAY - DAY 2

Saturday morning - Morning breakfast with some good music and a great workshop on pitching and a last round with your mentors.

Saturday afternoon - All your pitches are ready in top shape and ready to be pitched to our panel of experts from the healthcare industry, innovation leaders along with shark investors.
