What we'll discuss:

Join us at Cape Cod Beer on Wednesday, June 18th at 6:30 PM for an educational evening with Nick Nelson, Fluvial Geomorphologist and Regional Director of Inter-Fluve, as he explores the surprising role cranberry bogs can play in restoring Cape Cod’s water quality.

Retired cranberry bogs are more than just remnants of agricultural history—they’re a powerful opportunity to revitalize our ecosystems. By transitioning these lands into functioning wetlands and rivers, we can significantly improve water quality, enhance wildlife habitat, and create valuable recreational spaces.

Nick will explain why landowners and communities across the region are choosing restoration and share real-world examples from southeastern Massachusetts. He’ll also provide an exciting update on the Barnstable Clean Water Coalition’s Marstons Mills Bog Restoration project, showcasing images and outcomes from over 15 years of similar efforts.

Come learn how nature-based solutions are helping to clean the Cape’s waters—one bog at a time.

These events are free to attend, but we ask that you please RSVP!

Cape Cod Beer will have beer, hard seltzers, seltzer cocktails & NA options available to purchase. There is no food truck on site, so please feel free to bring your own snacks.
