We are delighted to announce that the Orff-Schulwerk Association Ireland (OSAI) Autumn Workshop weekend will be held in collaboration with the UL Irish World Academy of Music and Dance on 20-21 September 2025.
Following two successful events during 2024-25, we are excited to start of the 2025-26 academic year with this event, setting up attendees for a year of creative music and movement practice.
Bog, Seinn agus Spraoi!
For our OSAI motto, we have translated the Orff-Schulwerk keywords of ‘Sing, Say, Dance, Play' into Irish - "Can, Abair, Bog, Seinn agus Spraoi", including both the terms for playing instruments and pure playfulness. Our workshop title starts with ‘Bog’ – dance, as this weekend’s workshops will showcase movement and dance in Orff-Schulwerk, how this contributes to an holistic music and creative arts practice, and how we can use aspects of Irish traditional dance to in our practice.
