About Restorative Contact:

Body Kintsugi is a reflective movement workshop that invites women, especially women of color, to reconnect with their bodies through music, guided expression, and somatic exploration. Inspired by the Japanese art of Kintsugi, where broken pottery is repaired with gold, this practice honors the emotional and physical “cracks” we carry, not as flaws, but as part of our story.

Participants are gently guided through a journey that begins with grounding and connection, then opens into body-based exploration and release. We make space for healing, softness, and self-acceptance through intuitive movement, intentional touch, vocal expression, and affirming group practices.

This is not about choreography or performance—it’s about presence, care, and coming home to yourself. No experience is needed—just a willingness to be present with your body, as it is. Please bring a yoga mat if you have one; a few mats will be available for those who need it supplied.

"Restorative Contact" is part of the Reflection, Healing & Movement series. These programs take place in Studio 7, a fully accessible ground floor level studio.
