Body Awareness Workshop - React and Relax
Overview
Join the Queer Fitness Collective for our final workshop of the year! End of year stress and anxiety and wreck havoc on our bodies and our immune system so we're taking this opportunity to take stock of how we use our bodies under pressure.
We will learn techniques for relaxing the body and finding ease of movement even when completing challenging workouts. Using games and playful prompts, we will also test these relaxation techniques to make our movements more efficient and our reaction times faster when it comes to responding to outside stimuli.
You can expect to learn movement meditation exercises, play catch to test out ease in movement, and connect with other members of your queer community in a fun and non-judgemental space. Open to all levels and experiences!
