In boardBUILD: Overview, Business Volunteers will lead professionals who are new or curious about nonprofit board service in a broad overview which serves to demystify the role of a board and board members.
The workshop answers key questions about:
- how board service differs from other types of service
- board members responsibilities and what to expect on a board
- the benefits of board service to a nonprofit and to board members
- considerations professionals should have when selecting a board
- and pathways to getting elected
