BMC®-Based Hi-Intensity Dance Exercise
Applying your favorite essential oil, we touch various points--under the nose, behind the ears, on the wrists to stimulate the neurolymphatics system. Simply by breathing in fully, holding your breath and exhaling fully, you can stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system so you relax. One can relax over the physioball-- supine, side-lying, and prone. We align our bodies against a nearby wall to improve our posture, adding finger exercises to stimulate the sensory and motor cortex. That lasts about 10 minutes, and then we add fast dancing music to get us going--lunging, squatting, curling, light jumping, and swinging the arms. We switch into a heavy weight for kettle bell activity, lighter weights as needed, followed by overhead band stretches with jumping jacks. After eye exercises and facial gestures, we lie on the mat for core work.
