Tommye Blount is a poet, Cave Canem Fellow, and National Book Award finalist for his collection, Fantasia for the Man in Blue. In the judges' words: "The complex and layered collection is drawn from reality, and exemplifies how desire lives in proximity to the danger of being a marginalized body."
Kristin Fields grew up in Queens and studied writing at Hofstra University, where she was awarded the Eugene Schneider Award for Short Fiction. She currently leads an initiative to bring gardens to public schools in New York City. A Frenzy of Sparks is her second novel, a coming-of-age story of Gia, set in the mid-1960's. “The author’s portrayal of the adolescent girl is so graceful, so intelligently sensitive, the writing so lyrical." — New York Journal of Books.
Maria Nazos is a poet, translator and essayist. Her poetry has appeared in two collections as well as in numerous journals. The poet Thomas Lux called her A Hymn that Meanders, "a stunning first collection."
Eileen Pollack has published four novels and many pieces of short fiction and creative nonfiction. Breaking and Entering, her second novel, was named a 2012 New York Times Editor’s Choice selection. Her essays articles and reviews have appeared in numerous publications.
