Join key researchers, land managers, and Registered Professional Foresters at the Blodgett Forest Research Station & Experimental Forest. This all-day field tour will showcase past, current, and planned research into the effectiveness of the Forest Practice Rules and related regulations at Blodgett Forest.

- Prescribed herbivory as vegetation control post wildfire and in 5-10 year old even-age stands
- GEO AI detection of top and full decks at a large scale
- Reforestation at different ages/density/management
- Planted tree seedling growth and survival following wildfire

After introductions and orientation, participants will self-organize for carpools-caravans to field sites.
Rain or Shine! Bring layers, umbrella, and prepare for any weather conditions.
Be prepared to walk up to 1 mile on uneven terrain, more if rain.
BRING: hard hat, rugged footwear for uneven terrain, water, lunch, layers, umbrella, binoculars if desired.
Attendees will need to wear hard hats. We have a few to loan out. Please bring your own hard hat and a loaner to share if you have one.
