Block Walking in Sherman and Denison
Overview
About this event
Want a simple, powerful way to make a difference this election cycle? Join our Block Walking / Canvassing Team as we go door-to-door, talk with neighbors, and help turn out voters in this critical race.
We’ll gather at our launch location, do a quick training, pair folks up, and then send teams out with everything needed to have effective, friendly conversations with voters.
Whether you’re a first-time volunteer or a seasoned organizer, you’ll be supported every step of the way.
What you’ll do
- Walk a turf with a partner
- Knock on doors and share a short, friendly script
- Listen to what’s on voters’ minds and identify supporters
- Invite neighbors to get involved and turn out to vote
What we provide
- Brief on-site training before we start
- Talking points and a simple script
- Printed materials / palm cards
- A clear turf map so you always know where you’re going
What to bring
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Weather-appropriate clothing (hat, jacket, sunscreen, etc.)
- A fully charged phone
- Water bottle and anything else you need to be comfortable
No experience? No problem.
You don’t need to be an expert in politics to help—just willing to show up, smile, and talk with your neighbors. We’ll make sure you feel prepared and confident before you knock a single door.
RSVP today to reserve your spot and help us reach more voters, one doorstep at a time.
