WORKSHOP DATE: June 7th, 2-4:30pm
Taught by printmaker and teaching artist Anna Wagner
In this workshop you will learn how to design, carve, and print onto fabric using methods you can continue at home. Each student will receive a 4" x 6" block of linoleum to carve and will be loaned carving tools for the duration of the class. Students will print their finalized design in black ink onto the textiles of their choice. This size and technique works especially well for printing patches, and patch-sized fabric scraps are available from our overflowing stash.
Printing materials- linocut tools, linoleum block, inks, paper, and fabric patches will all be provided. If you would like to print on a shirt, bag, or you name it, please bring your own!
Interfacing studio is a second-story walk-up, with no elevator and a single restroom. Masking is required and KN95 masks are provided if you forget yours. Please arrive on time or a little early so we can make the most of the afternoon together.
