Blidworth Question Time
Event Information
Description
Big local issues and important national matters will be up for debate when Blidworth hosts its very own Question Time event on Friday 18th May.
Mark Spencer MP and Notts Police and Crime Commissioner Paddy Tipping will be on the panel for the event, which is being organised by Blidworth Community Association and hosted by Sherwood Forest Community Church.
Residents of Blidworth, Rainworth, Ravenshead and the surrounding area are encouraged to attend and contribute to the debate.
Other panellists at Blidworth Question Time include Linda Tift, Newark & Sherwood District Councillor for Blidworth & Rainworth, and Blidworth Oaks Primary School head teacher Shaun Walker. Meanwhile a student representative from Joseph Whitaker School will make sure the important voice of young people is heard.
Jim Thornton, Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at University of Nottingham and a local resident, will compère the debate.
Blidworth Question Time is free to attend and entrance is by ticket only. Tickets are available online through Eventbrite, and can also be collected in person from Blidworth Library, Blidworth Leisure Centre and Rainworth Co-op. Tickets are limited to 150 places, so residents are advised to book quickly to avoid disappointment.
Meanwhile questions from residents can be submitted in advance by email through blidworthca@gmail.com or in drop boxes at ticket locations. The audience will also have a chance to ask questions from the floor on the night.
