About All in Due Time
“All in Due Time” is the final book for the “Tortured Souls Turn to Gold” trilogy. Originally, Tortured Souls was supposed to be a stand-alone book. After I had finished the book, however, I realized I had a lot more to say about my healing journey and the process. I started The Peaks and The Valleys halfway through, but I didn’t expect it to be an extension of Tortured Souls.
Making this a trilogy really has changed my perspective on so much, especially myself and the world around me. All in Due Time goes into how time heals all wounds, but also how time can hurt you. The truth is that healing isn’t a quick fix. You don’t just wake up in the morning and decide that you’re healed from everything.
This book is the finale because it is about how I’m coming to terms with things taking time, how I’m still just a young adult trying to find my way, and how learning how to love yourself is a life-long process.
About The Peaks and The Valleys
"'The Peaks and The Valleys' is the sequel to "Tortured Souls Turn to Gold." The main difference? "The Peaks and The Valleys" explores more of my emotions, the light and dark aspects. I get even more personal. Healing isn’t linear and that’s the point I wanted to get across in this book! You’ll have high highs and low lows.
"Tortured Souls Turn to Gold" was about my depression and how I had to pull myself out of it, while this book goes more into the actual process of healing. This book goes more into my self-discovery journey and how the journey never ends. As people, we forget that the point of life is to live it, and this book is me coming to terms with that."
About Tortured Souls Turn to Gold
"This is more than just a poetry book, this is a deeply personal diary that explores my mental health journey This collection of songs and poetry reflects the evolution of self-discovery and self-understanding, traversing the darkest lows, struggling to find a sense of safety, and ultimately reconciling with my past, embracing the present, and facing the uncertainty of my future with clarity. This book also explores how healing isn't linear in the slightest, and how finding yourself isn't always easy. "Tortured Souls Turn To Gold" is a love letter to who I was, who I am, and who I am excited to become."
