Bladed Edge Between & Apocalypse Joy — A Dual Book Launch with
Overview
Join us on November 7 at Enabling Arts for an evening of poetry, sound, and celebration as we launch two new collections into the world: Bladed Edge Between by Ruby Singh and Apocalypse Joy by Anjalica Solomon.
In Bladed Edge Between, Singh navigates the intersections of memory, sound, and survival—unfolding a sonic archive of longing, belonging, and becoming. Rooted in diasporic grief, ecological reverence, and mystical remembrance, this work bridges ancestral poetics with speculative futures.
In Apocalypse Joy, Solomon writes into the marrow of grief, where death is not an end but a wide-open door. Forged in the wake of their grandfather’s passing, this debut collection traces a queer South Asian diasporic voice reaching through lineage, land, and loss—with the intimacy of prayer and the fire of protest.
Featuring readings and reflections by Hari Alluri, Preeti Kaur Dhaliwal, and Phanuel Antwi, this evening will be a gathering of voices, communities, and futures—where language becomes a vessel for remembrance, resistance, and radiant joy.
