About this event

Join The Water Collaborative and Black Girl Environmentalist for a day of empowerment, connection, and healing. This event is a safe space for Black women to come together, share their stories, and support each other on their healing journeys.

Black women have been both the backbone of post-Katrina recovery and community building. This event seeks to connect Black women through healing circles, conversations, and reverence for their conscious and unconscious commitment to the greatest city in the United States.

Come ready to participate in discussions, activities, and rituals designed to promote healing and self-care. Let's uplift each other and cultivate a sense of community and sisterhood.

Guests are welcome to come by for an hour or enjoy the full day. We can't wait to see you there!

NOLA Water Week is presented by André Callioux Center for Performing Arts and Cultural Justice & Liquid I.V. and Ruby Slipper.

Thank you to our event sponsors: Batture, LLC, Black Girl Environmentalist, Black in Marine Science, Earth Justice, Environmental Defense Fund, Policy Link - Water Equity and Climate Resilience (WECR) Caucus & RESTORE the Mississippi River Delta Coalition.
