An evening of storytelling and conversation exploring the history, culture, and lived experiences of Black Portland.

Stories of Black Portland is an evening dedicated to exploring the history, culture, and lived experiences of Black communities in Portland. This gathering creates space for learning, listening, and meaningful conversation—honoring the past while reflecting on the present.

Through storytelling and facilitated dialogue, attendees can expect to engage with narratives that illuminate Black presence, resilience, creativity, and contribution within the city. The evening is designed to be welcoming and reflective, offering time for shared insight, questions, and connection in a calm, intentional setting.

This event is open to all who are interested in learning, honoring history, and engaging thoughtfully with Portland’s Black cultural landscape.
