" In nature, nothing is perfect and everything is perfect. Trees can be contorted, bent in weird ways, and they're still beautiful." - Alice Walker
Black folks have deep, ancestral roots in the healing powers of nature yet our complex histories have left many of us disconnected and far removed.
What might it look and feel like for more Black folks to collectively transform our connection to nature? How might it create more space for a deeper connection to freedom within oneself? What could nature teach us about being in community with one another?
Join Black Women In Nature and Black Men Build for a collaborative nature experience at Scioto Audubon Metro Park on Sunday October 19th consisting of yoga, meditation, hiking, rock climbing (optional) and reflective dialogue as we explore these topics in community with one another. After the event, join us for a casual hangout at Nocterra Brewery right next to the Rock Climbing wall at Scioto Audubon.
This event is open to men, women and gender expansive folks.
Bring a friend, dress comfortably and join us for a reflective time in nature!
