How do I join this festival?

1.) Download the Clubhouse app on your phone. Each day of the festival we’ll have an opening session on the app where you can receive support and help in joining the metaverse platform. We’ll be sending out a link to all of the rooms in the next email.

2.) Onboarding info for all 5 metaverse platforms. Most of the metaverse platforms can be accessed both Mac/PC and via VR (Virtual reality) headset (except for Infiniverse with requires a VR headset). Please complete the setup for each of the platforms listed below in order to join us within the space. Try the steps below, the videos, and if needed join our pre-event Q&A on Clubhouse Feb 15th @5:30PST 8:30 EST.

3.) We will also be streaming our event via our website Blackmetaverse.io

How to set up:

a.) We Watch Together- This is the first metaverse space that we’ll be in for the Monday Meta Movie night, February 21. Please set up your account here.

b.) AltspaceVR - This space is a bit more lengthy in setup, but we will be spending Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday here.

Be sure to select the appropriate download for your MAC (OS Beta), PC (Microsoft Windows from the Microsoft store- not steam) or VR headset (Oculus Quest, Rift, Windows Mixed Reality or HTC Vive)

c.) Infiniverse- How to get into Infiniverse- (VR headset only) Download the FREE Multiverse app to your Oculus headset in the Oculus store Once in the app - Enter Infiniverse Beta (Note that you can log into Oculus account with your Facebook account and your Facebook photo is the default avatar image on your Infiniverse profile)

d.) Decentraland- You can set up a headset or computer here. e.) Cryptovoxels- You can set up a headset or computer here.

If you are unable to join us in the metaverse, the event will be streamed on Blackmeta.io. Some of these different metaverse set ups are fast and others are longer; the best advice is to set things up far in advance so that you can get support with your questions at the Q & A session on February 15 or daily Clubhouse onboarding rooms.

4.) Black NFT submissions form

Are you a current or aspiring NFT artist? We are now accepting NFT art submissions to be displayed at the Deeper Tones virtual mansion for our Wednesday programming. Please submit by Feb 15th, selected artists will be contacted on Friday.

5.) How to collect your free NFTs

Black Meta is offering daily FREE NFTs called POAPS, as tokens of appreciation for those who attend that particular day! POAPS stands for Proof of Attendance Protocol and it’s a type of NFT, that once claimed, is digital proof of attending our events. The tech behind it uses smart contracts on the blockchain, but you don’t have to have deep knowledge about how it works in order to participate. The intention is that whether this is your first NFT or you’ve collected a couple that each attendee can have a Black created NFT in their wallet, and will learn how to set up a crypto wallet in order to receive it. Our Black community walking away with 7 NFTs each furthers our mission of being a bridge into crypto space.

A link to our POAPS will be made available for guests who attend the event via clubhouse, or via streaming. In order to collect the POAP, you have to

1.)Set up a Meta Mask wallet

2.) Download the POAP app
