Black History in the Cultural Center Walking Tour

Take this walk through the historic neighborhoods in the cultural center. Visit one of the most historic African American churches in Detroit, along with one of the earliest Black hospitals.

Visit the homes of some of the wealthiest Black Detroiters in history.

Join Detroit's Official Historian and Tour Leader Jamon Jordan for this tour of African American history in the Cultural Center.

We meet outside in front of the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History at 5:45pm to check in. We will then leave the museum at 6pm and take a walk in the neighborhood.

This walk is about a half-mile in total.
