Event description
Bit by Bit is a completely free tech conference created by girls, for girls featuring keynote speakers, panels, workshops, and swag!

About this Event

What's Bit by Bit all about?

Bit by Bit is a conference for high school girls, devoted to bringing together girls interested in computer science. Why? We believe that by gathering successful women with experiences to share, we can ensure that the female coders, entrepreneurs, and leaders of the future are prepared in an industry in which women are underrepresented.

Join us at the conference on April 18th, 2020 to hear from our inspiring keynote speakers: Anne Aaron, Director of Encoding Technologies at Netflix, and Rana el Kaliouby, Co-founder and CEO of Affectiva. Spend the remainder of the day posing questions to panelists, participating in a mentorship luncheon, getting hands on experience in workshops, and learning about future opportunities to pursue computer science. Walk out at the end of the day with a bag full of free swag and a greater understanding of the tech world!

Who can come?

All female-identified high school students are welcome! No coding or tech experience is required, and the conference is cost-free! Show up with an open mind and an interest in technology (we can provide a laptop if you don't have one, but if you have one, feel free to bring it).
